Phase One: Growth, Collapse, and Community Survival
Launched in July 2021, Pudgy Penguins quickly gained attention for its character design, social virality, and deep meme culture. At its peak, the project reached a floor price of over 2.5 $ETH. But the momentum didn't last.

Phase Three: Launch of $PENGU on Solana
On December 5, 2024, the Pudgy team announced $PENGU, the token that would power the ecosystem. Deployed on Solana for its scalability and low fees, $PENGU launched with a supply of 88.88 billion tokens.

In Q1 2025, broader market conditions deteriorated. Major crypto tokens experienced sharp drawdowns, and $PENGU was not immune. By April, it had fallen over 90% from its peak, briefly reaching a low of $0.0036.
However, the underlying ecosystem remained active: toy sales continued, Pudgy Party and Pudgy Clash expanded user engagement, and new institutional partnerships were announced. In June, Cboe filed for a $PENGU ETF. @binance removed the "Seed Tag", an important milestone signaling reduced volatility.
By July 2025, $PENGU had recovered to a range between $0.033 and $0.043, marking a 650% increase from its April lows. NFT volumes surged. Floor prices stabilized. Community growth resumed.
Phase Five: Infrastructure, not Speculation
Today, Pudgy Penguins is a global entertainment and consumer brand with Web3 infrastructure at its core. $PENGU functions as the native utility token across the Pudgy ecosystem, enabling in-game purchases, merchandise access, governance features, and exclusive experiences.

Cross-chain integrations are underway. AI-native tools and retail gamification are being explored. Community engagement remains high, with over 800,000 token holders and a daily digital reach exceeding 400 million views.
